Eastern Powder Is Not A Myth and Here’s the Proof

Eastern tree skiing is an acquired taste, much like espresso, pistachio ice cream, and drinking Boone’s Farm before breakfast. But once you’ve gotten past the bitterness and occasional hardwood branch to the teeth, it’s as much as part of your makeup as the rust spots on your Subaru.

This little film by Nathan Steinbauer from Smuggler’s Notch, Vermont, will put you in the wicked wood-bashing driver’s seat. Did I count three waterfall jumps? Schweet. And if the helmetcam perspective is a little wobbly, well, that’s just the Boone’s Farm talking.

Can’t get enough powder skiing (and who can)? The Adventure Life has plenty more videos for you.

Epic Telluride. Epic Hokkaido, Japan. Epic steeps.
