I have no words for this, except to say, it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. And that it made my day, which was already pretty darn good. Oh, and that even theft-of-services crimes don’t pay. But I’ll let the filmmakers speak for themselves:
“A typical day on the slopes turns into a chilling nightmare for three snowboarders when they get stranded on the chairlift before their last run. As the ski patrol switches off the night lights, they realize with growing panic that they’ve been left behind dangling high off the ground with no way down. With the resort closed until the following weekend and frostbite and hypothermia already setting in, the trio is forced to take desperate measures to escape off the mountain before they freeze to death. Once they make theirmove, they discover with horror that they have much more to fear than just the frigid cold. As they combat unexpected obstacles, they start to question if their will to survive is strong enough to overcome the worst ways to die.”
Big thanks to Ian at the Verte Blog for recognizing the creative genius behind this film.

a ski area that closes from monday – thursday – a ‘little area that rocks’ if I’ve ever seen one!
Haha, this looks insane! I’m keen to get skiers and boarders in our lodge to watch it before they hit the slopes in Hakuba Japan!
I hope this is a spoof but something tells me this is a real movie! Wonder if she licks the chairlift after freezing her hand to it?
There are ski areas open only certain days of the week…
It’s a shame that the average American is going to think that this is realistic. When you look at the latest news media coverage of a recent avalanche on Loveland pass, you can see that there isn’t much difference between how Hollywood and the news media portray reality. This is the last thing that the winter sport industry needs.
So are they going to address why three teenagers/twentysomethings don’t have cell phones?
There isn’t mobile phone reception at many mountains so it really depends on where it’s set.
