NEW! LEADER PAGE HERE.

Ski Jump Lite is a ridiculously addictive little application for Apple’s iPhone—so darn addictive that The Adventure Life is super stoked to announce a new contest based on it. All you have to do is download the free version and log the longest jump before the contest ends on July 13. Your incentive is loot from Cloudveil—the top three finishers win apparel from this sweet Jackson Hole brand.

HOW TO PLAY
1. Using iTunes or your iPhone, download Ski Jump Lite (the free version). If you already have the paid version, play the game in Beginner mode.

2. Launch the game. Create a user name that begins with “TAL” (no quotes), which will tell our automatic scorekeeping system that you’re in the contest. Examples: TALijumplong, TALeddietheeagle, TALkellyslater, etc.

3. Jump!

That’s all you need to do. Scores are automatically uploaded to skijumpapp.com and the 15 highest scores will be updated live and posted on the home page of The Adventure Life. The winners will be announced here shortly after the contest ends.

Yeah, Yeah, What Am I Going to Win?
First place nabs Cloudveil’s Hoback jacket, retail price $500, a Primaloft-insulated, two-layer Gore-Tex parka perfect for next season’s powder days. Want to know more? Check it out here.

Second place brings home the $160 Inertia Peak softshell, the ideal jacket for cool alpine nights this summer or as a midlayer in the snow. See more here.

Third place scores the Run Don’t Walk 1/2-zip, a light Polartec pullover that should be in everyone’s quiver, worth $125. See more here.

So where are the scores posted on the home page. Can’t seem to locate them.

I love this app. Question, though…I’ve advanced in the jump, but the next levels don’t show up. Sigh…

TALbowman July 5, 2009 at 19:44 pm

166m ? How do you manage to pull that off? I’ve invested about 10 hours of my life (mostly in airports) and can’t seem to get past 158.

Only 1 week left…

Tobias Peciva July 9, 2009 at 22:08 pm

@TALbowman, I wish I had only spent 10 hours of my life getting to 166. Man, I thought my Flight Control addiction was bad!

TALCreeper July 13, 2009 at 03:47 am

166? Something seems fishy. Nobody else can get above 161. And what happens with a threeway tie?

TALMiller July 14, 2009 at 10:09 am

How will the winners be notified, text message?
Also, how will they deal with the 3 way tie at 2nd place? I’m happy with 3rd, but I feel bad for TALcarvalho if he truly is tied but because of a secondary sort is placed in 4th.

Hey, guys. Thanks to everyone for playing. I’ve been assured by the developer that it’s impossible to game the system. I also heard from the leader and eventual winner a week ago–he was obsessed with the game, played it incessantly, kicked everyone’s butt, and then went on vacation to Vanuatu island and sent me an email before he went.

We didn’t plan for a three-way tie, but the good folks at Cloudveil and I will be coming up with a solution that leaves everyone satisfied. TALcarvalho won’t walk away emptyhanded.

Final, official results will be posted within the next day. And thanks again for playing–hope you dug it!

Thanks for the post Steve, and congrats to TALpeciva.

Tobias Peciva July 16, 2009 at 21:59 pm

Thanks – and to you guys too!

Now, can someone please direct me to a reputable rehabilitation clinic?

TALCreeper August 24, 2009 at 04:20 am

I have been trying to you, scasimiro, but haven’t gotten any emails back from you. Please email me back with the info you need for winning this contest.

TALCreeper September 3, 2009 at 10:50 am

@TALCreeper, I have emailed you multiple times and have gotten no reply. Please email me with the info you need.
